Rules
*Bike and bike helmet check is MANDATORY for all tri-athletes before entering the Transition Area.

- *All bikes MUST have handlebar end caps.
- *Bike helmets MUST be buckled and worn at all times while on the bike.
- *Bike helmets MUST be buckled prior to exiting the Transition Area.
- *Bike helmets MUST NOT be removed until the bike is racked after the bike portion.
- *Run numbers MUST be worn on the bike and run portion and must be facing the front when crossing the finish line.
- *Listening devices of any kind: MP3, IPod, headphones, etc. are NOT allowed during the race.
_MyTri Youth Triathlon Policies and Regulations
The purpose of the following policies and regulations are to ensure that participants in the MyTri Youth Triathlon complete the course safely and have a good time doing so!
I. OUTSIDE ASSISTANCE: Parents cannot assist children during any portion of the event. Trained volunteers are stationed throughout the course and in the Transition Area to lend any assistance needed to ensure participant safety and well-being.
II. COURSE: Each participant must complete the entire prescribed course in order to be eligible to receive age level awards. Volunteers and signage are available throughout the course to show the way, but participants bear the responsibility for being familiar with the course.
III. SWIM: Any stroke is allowed, there is no disqualification for style or life guard assistance. Life jackets are required for all participants unless waived by parent or guardian on Registration Form. Certified life guards are on duty throughout the race. Please no spectators in the Swim Staging Area or on the Miller's Landing Docks.
IV. TRANSITION AREA:
BIKE TRANSITION AREA - All equipment in the Bike Transition Area must be placed in designated area before 7am on Race Day. From 7am until race completion, ONLY RACING PARTICIPANTS will be allowed in the Transition Area. No bicycles or personal items may be removed from the Transition Area until the last participant has finished and the announcer has indicated that the Transition Area may be entered. Bicycles must be walked in/out of the Transition Area, and are to be mounted and dismounted at designated bike points outside the Transition Area, which will be clearly indicated and manned by volunteers.
